Like his father, Maximilian Ibrahimovic signed for Ajax, from the Netherlands. The 19-year-old forward still belongs to Milan, where Zlatan is manager, but was loaned to the Dutch club until the end of the season, with an option to buy. The intention is, however, for the player to stay permanently at Ajax, says Marijn Beuker, the club's football director. “Initially, he will mainly play for Ajax U23 and will regularly switch between Ajax U23 and the first team during the season to get him used to the higher level and intensity of Ajax A. Maximilian is a player with a lot of potential and we hope that, over time, he will become a permanent part of Ajax's attack,” said Beuker. Maximilian himself made statements to the club's media and assured that he wanted to "write his own history", regardless of his father's success. Zlatan arrived at Ajax in 2001, coming from Malmo, Sweden. The son trained at Hammarby, before arriving at Milan, in 2022.
