The young Brazilian gymnast Isabelle Marciniak died, aged 18, from a cancerous disease. The news was confirmed by the Paraná Gymnastics Federation. Born in Araucária, in the state of Paraná, Isabelle Marciniak has practiced gymnastics since she was a child, and in 2021, at the age of 14, she helped Clube Agir become national rhythmic gymnastics champion. Considered one of the great promises of the sport in Brazil, the young woman was forced to interrupt her career, approximately two years ago, after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. «May your story, your passion for sport and your memory remain alive as an inspiration for all who believe in gymnastics as a tool for human formation and transformation», wrote the Paraná Gymnastics Federation, on social media.
